The CSI Guys was
created by Don Davis, a science teacher, and Dr. Kirk
Levingar, a pharmacist, over a brain storming session on how
we can educate children and adults to enjoy working as a
team and to love science like we do while still having fun.
So, lets meet the brains behind the CSI Guys.
Don Davis is a high school science teacher. He received his
Bachelors in Secondary Education with a Minor in Biology
from Arizona State University in May 2004. He is currently
finishing his Masters degree in Educational Leadership from
Northern Arizona University. He has taught Biology, Honors
Biology, Earth Science, Intro to Chemistry, and most
recently, Forensic Science. He wrote the curriculum for this
course for the Paradise Valley Unified School District. Over
the last 3 years, he has lead a total of 7 teams to the
Forensic Science State Championships and, of those teams,
has won the Forensic State Champion the last three years
running. He is also the head wrestling coach for 2007-2008
Region Champions for North Canyon High School. In his spare
time, he enjoys time with his family and friends,
role-playing, reading, paintballing, as well as many other
things.
Dr. Kirk Levingar is a Pharmacist working in the Phoenix
area at a retail store. He received his Doctorate of
Pharmacy from Midwestern University in May 2006. Kirk has
taken over 200 credit hours in science related university
courses. He has always loved the field of Science, which
began when his father introduced him to the microscope at
age 8. He has worked in a variety of settings with children
of all ages. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with
his wife and two sons, reading, role-playing, and tending to
his productive vegetable garden.
